Shimla: In a recent development, the Himachal Pradesh government undertook administrative changes by transferring a HAS (Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service) officer and promoting four Tehsildars to the HAS cadre. The officer, Rajendra Kumar Gautam, who held the position of AC (Assistant Commissioner) to DC (Deputy Commissioner) in Recongpeo, has been transferred and appointed as SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) of Dharampur.
The promotions of the Tehsildars were based on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee. Following their elevation, Jogendra Patial, formerly a Tehsildar, has been designated as SDM (Civil) of Tisa Chamba. Sanjay Kumar, another Tehsildar, has been appointed as AC to DC of Kinnaur Reckong Peo. Bachitar Singh will serve as SDM (Civil) of Thunag, while Aman Kumar takes on the role of SDM (Civil) in Kupvi Shimla.
The orders regarding these transfers and promotions were issued by the Chief Secretary, Prabodh Saxena, emphasizing the government’s efforts to ensure efficient administration and effective implementation of policies across various districts of Himachal Pradesh.
This administrative reshuffling is expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the respective positions, facilitating better governance and public service in the state.
