She has been accepted into Columbia Business School, ranked as the No. 1 global MBA program for 2023, Kellogg School of Management, ranked No. 2 by US News & World Report for full-time MBA, and Darden School of Business. The faculty members congratulated Supriha for her remarkable achievements.

Supriha is the first student from NIT Hamirpur to gain admission to these prestigious institutions, marking a significant milestone for the institute. She plans to inspire more students from NIT Hamirpur to follow in her footsteps. Additionally, Spruha is currently in the interview process for Indian Business Schools and intends to enroll in one of them within the next two years, further advancing her academic journey. Spruha’s outstanding achievement is reflected in her GMAT score, where she scored 99th percentile (760 points), showcasing her academic prowess and dedication. Her accomplishments have earned her the Director’s Medal for being the best all-rounder student for the academic year 2022-23, which will be presented to her during the upcoming convocation at NIT Hamirpur.

navrattanHailing from Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, Supriha completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Dharamshala. She currently works as a Software Developer at Salesforce, Hyderabad, a renowned American company, where she secured a job through the institute, offering an entry-level compensation of Rs 43 lakh. Spruha’s remarkable academic record with a CGPI of 9.89/10 is a testament to her hard work and dedication. She attributes her success to her supportive parents and inspiring teachers at NIT Hamirpur. Her father, Ajay Gautam, is an alumnus of NIT Hamirpur’s 1993 batch and currently serves as a Chief Engineer in the HPSEBL department, while her mother, Babita Sharma, works as an Ayurvedic Medical Officer under the Department of AYUSH, India.

 

Commitment to promoting tech culture


During her time at NIT Hamirpur, Spruha was actively involved in various clubs, societies, and leadership roles on campus. She organized guest lectures, hackathons, and events, and even operated a Mentorship Cell under the Training and Placement Cell to support fellow students. Supriha commitment to promoting tech culture and building a strong community of female students on campus led her to establish the “LeanIn Circle on Campus.”

Done Well in Apna Kangra Mission


In addition to her academic and professional accomplishments, Supriha has made a positive local impact by collaborating with the district administration of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh under the “Apna Kangra Mission.” Her aspiration to become an authentic leader and help millions of people in their journeys is a testament to her dedication and determination.
